The Positive Place, Inc. is a Broward County 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people navigate hardship and build greater stability.
We recognize that a missed medical appointment, a shortage of food or a lack of reliable transportation can become a major setback. Our approach begins by listening, identifying immediate needs and connecting individuals and families with available community resources.
Working alongside service providers, local organizations and community supporters, we help remove practical barriers so that more people can focus on what comes next.

Returning citizens can face real obstacles when trying to obtain medical care after release. HARRI helps eligible participants navigate health coverage and, when funds are available, obtain one-time assistance with qualifying medical co-payments and transportation to appointments.
Ask about HARRI →A safe place to stay can be the foundation for a successful return to the community. Doorway 360 is designed to connect eligible returning citizens with transitional housing options and limited, short-term housing support, subject to program funding.
A meal and a helping hand can make a difficult day easier. Through community food and clothing outreach, The Giving Plate supports neighbors facing food insecurity and other immediate needs, including families, unhoused residents and returning citizens.

Returning home takes more than determination—it takes connections. We help people identify local resources for transportation, employment readiness, food, clothing, healthcare and other needs that can affect a successful transition.
Community needs continue to evolve. We explore new partnerships and funding opportunities to expand support for women, families and other underserved residents. Programs will be announced when they are ready to serve participants.
Our responsibility does not end when assistance is provided. We aim to document what we deliver, understand who we reach and learn where support can make a greater difference.

Our leadership brings together professional knowledge, hands-on service and a commitment to helping people move forward. We believe strong community partnerships begin with accountability and genuine care.
Nicole brings experience in case management, reentry services, vocational rehabilitation, workforce development and community-based support. Her leadership focuses on removing practical barriers and connecting people with opportunities to rebuild.
LaTarsha is a community advocate and nonprofit leader with experience in public service, operations management and healthcare advocacy. Her work includes mentorship, resource navigation and support for underserved families and returning citizens.
Jamea supports administrative coordination, community outreach and program operations. She holds a degree in Hospitality Management with a minor in Economics from Florida Atlantic University.
